Sourcing FAQ

Buyer Questions, Answered

Which food-safety systems support Protanica production?+

Protanica produces under GMP and HACCP systems independently certified by SGS and sources crickets from GAP-standard farms. The manufacturing facility is registered with the Thai and U.S. FDA.

Does FDA registration mean the products are FDA approved?+

No. Facility registration is not product approval or certification. Buyers should review the current documents and determine the requirements that apply to their product and destination market.

Can our quality team request certificates and product documents?+

Yes. Use the documentation request form to identify the product, market, and documents your supplier-qualification process requires. Protanica will confirm what is current and available for the inquiry.

Is batch-specific information available?+

Request the available certificate of analysis information and current product specification for the product or sample being evaluated. Do not rely on generic category averages for batch qualification.

Do all certificates cover every ingredient and processing service?+

Certificate scope must be reviewed for the specific facility, activity, material, and product. Do not assume that a cricket-production certificate covers every proposed contract-processing project. Our team can discuss the relevant documentation with you.

How is farm-level quality addressed?+

Protanica sources crickets from farms operating to GAP standards. Request current traceability and supplier documentation relevant to your review.
